The Transverse Myelitis Society is very much a ‘kitchen table charity’ with no paid staff, premises or fundraising resources, so most of our donations come from TMers and family, donations in memoriam and legacies. Since we are all people with experience of TM ourselves, we appreciate the personal benevolence behind every donation we receive.

Because we have no overheads, all of the monies received from donations go directly to support people with TM. Our total income is less than £25,000 so your donation makes a real difference.

TMS provides neuro-physio assessments for members. We also fund regular physio for several children with TM, who are still improving their standing and walking, months and even years after TM. The NHS does not provide this service long term. We also provide equipment grants for members to help with rehabilitation and adaptation following TM. Your donation will be spent on these vital support services for TMers.
